On my way to a nearby forest where Koalas supposed to live, I stumbled into the Byron Bay Cemetery. Compared with a lot of others this cemetery wasn’t fenced or surrounded by walls. Some graves had been there for quite a long time. The probably oldest one was dated 25 Oct 1895.

It was interesting to see the different types and “tends” of graves that developed over more than a century.
